it's been a while.

I miss you.

let me catch you up on my life, and fashion endeavors.

I started a job at Nordstrom and I absolutely love it. I get to play dress up and tell women how beautiful they are all day, every day. It's the best. In my department we sell quite a variety of styles such as, modern, casual, and boho (Free People!!!). So basically I get to wear anything because my style doesn't fit into a definite category. What I love about Free People is how you can mix n match almost every one of their pieces and you have a perfect bohemian, effortless, "i just threw on these super cool clothes and they look good together" look. I love my Free People.

I bought this dress the day it came in and I've worn it too many times already. It was completely worth the purchase. You can thrift forever and buy "cheapo" items that look awesome, but sometimes you just gotta buy an expensive piece that you know will be a staple in your closet forever. These Lucky Brand booties are another example of that. I wear them at least 4 times a week...well worth the purchase.

I am OH, SO excited for this album to be released in October. Hillsong Young & Free is the new Hillsong Youth band and the two singles that have been released so far, are incredible. One of the lead vocalists, Taya Smith has this crazy awesome voice that just punches you in the face. Listen to her sing specifically on the 2nd verse of their latest single, Wake.

I have realized that a lot of what I do fashionably relates similarly to Taya Smith. 

I love her hair, voice, and style. 

She is a killer example of being young and free and living a life after Christ.

This girl is 12 years old and has the greatest style I have ever seen in a middle schooler.

One of the most wonderful things about life is it's always a mystery. Last night, I found myself dancing at a Polish festival with a mystery man, riding on the back of a motorcycle, and completely lost among the vivacious wanderlust lifestyle. Life is simply beautiful. The best part about it was, none of these events were planned. It all just happened. I got ready for the day in seconds, wearing a swimsuit and cover up to just lay out with my ladies. I had the perfect care-free, whimsical outfit to go with the perfect care-free whimsical evening. I love literally just throwing on clothes and seeing what happens.

spending 14 hours at a theme park calls for comfortable attire. i was torn. do i trash all fashion rules and go for old sneakers and boring comfortable clothes? no. never. i am most comfortable when i wear what i love, and i love this outfit.

basically, this entire outfit is thrifted, of course, which is just the greatest thing.

however, the shoes are currently my mother's but she let me borrow them. bless her heart.

Jack, my brother, was all the rage at the park with his neon spam shirt. it was great when we got separated because he was just like a giant glow stick that lead the way in times of trouble.
