it only gets colder

If you don't know who Iceman is, you need to know. His real name is Andrew Kinney and he is my friend. He loves Levi's, hats, clothing, people, but more than anything, The Lord. He has a YouTube channel and talks about life and thrift finds. Here is the link to his page, TheIceman289. He has been exploring photography, so here are some shots from the other day in this freezing frigid weather. Also, my hair is now pink.

oh what an ordinary day

Hi. this is an update of my life this week.

1. INSTAFAMOUS

I found out that my photo posted on my Instagram made it on the Official Urban Outfitters Instagram today. Just a normal day in the life of Madison Emily. My apartment wall is now famous.

Inspiration wall: Anthro, Free People, Urban catalogue photos mixed with personal photos, artwork via Lauren, and my girl Jenna, plus my dad's old license plate, various frames, a garage sale picture of some pretty flowers, part of a paper chickfila cow hat, and many other unexpected scraps.

outfit: top with mini mopeds ($4.99); pants (9.99); both from Urban

2. BANGS

Friends, I got bangs. Yes, I have always hated bangs, but then I decided to stop being dumb. I only started not liking them anyway because of a boy (stupid boys). I am my own woman, I am single, and I can be happy free confused and lonely at the same time. It's cool. Thank you to my dear friend, Emily for hooking me up with my new look.

It has just a crazy week of changes and new things! Loving this right now. So grateful that God is just switching things up on me every day! Life is so much fun when you are spontaneous and depending on The Lord to lead your path. Trust in Him today, He wants to surprise you.

live a life of whimsy,
Madison Emily

play your part

Last night, I was fortunate enough to see Yuna live. If you don't know who Yuna is, she is this incredible Malaysian singer/songwriter who writes just super poppy, instrumentally beautiful music with lyrics that everyone can personally relate to. I spent the day yesterday with Jesus and myself, while shopping, sipping coffee, and talking to old friends along the way. Her newest album was on repeat all day, and I highly recommend it to everyone. This song of hers has become my favorite off the album. If you've ever been in a relationship that you know wasn't right from the start, and you're needing help getting over it, read the Lord's word, then listen to Someone Who Can and Rescue. All problems solved. You're welcome.
