Happy feet forever

Your uncomfortable feet problems are solved!

My little feet have been so comfortable for 5 days straight in this perfect fall shoe. The Nine West Lillian Chelsie Boot is amazing and goes with every item of clothing I own. The taupe color is divine and the simplicity of the design is what drew me to them right away. I don't like messing with buckles or zippers, and this bootie slides right on! I get a solid 15 hours out of them each day without any pain or irritations. You need these. Get them HERE.

Another way to help take care of your footsies is investing in some amazing insoles. These are the ones you've been looking for. It's not a sticky, foamy pad, or gel insert- but a solid microsuede covered, structured heel cup. The way they work: They redistribute your weight, and balance your foot inside the shoe, so you can avoid sore feet! These ones are specifically designed for a heel but I also have a pair for flats. The company also makes athletic insoles. Honestly, you need to check it out and buy every kind available.

Superfeet insoles have their own website HERE but are also sold at Nordstrom.

Literally, what is going on.

Dear World,

Honestly, I don't even know why I have this blog anymore. I'm not one to love sitting down on my laptop, writing away my feelings, or political issues. I post random crap once every 5 months and it really truly doesn't serve any purpose here on the interwebs.

UNTIL TODAY.

it hit me.

You know that one friend who just has the solution to everything in your life?

You need to print something in mass quantities on fancy paper, they know where you should print it. You need to order a customized rubber stamp, they immediately text you the web address to do so (rubberstamps.com). You need make-up advice because you never know how to put it on your face, no matter how many youtube tutorials you watch (shout out to MaddyMcQ), and they take you to Sephora and walk around with you and explain everything. Or those friends who just know cool things, like Coffee Subscriptions (who thinks of this).

I have that friend.

I have numerous friends like this.

And I believe I can be that friend for you.

Over the years, I have accumulated so much knowledge from all these smart people and from my own experiences, that I feel like I can help YOU.

I love clothes, really love clothes, but also makeup, daily little things that every girl needs to know, and whimsy-ing around Minnesota.

I really hope to inspire YOU with things that you've wanted to know, or were intrigued about. Every thing I write about- I can guarantee you I am 100%, full on, crazy passionate about it. So let's just have a dialogue on here and be friends. I'll share my secrets and you can tell everyone else about them.

Yay!

a captivating woman

There are friends who encourage the practicality in you and others who bring out the whimsy. I appreciate and love my OCD, organized, practical friends but there's nothing like an impractical, whimsical, crazy, free-spirited woman.

We nap, read books, take rooftop photos with fresh peonies, and walk in beaming 100 degree weather to a farmers market, consuming doughnuts, coffee, pastries and all the salami samples one could dream of.

She is captivating. I love miss Lauren.

Black Sun

Outfit for a sunny breezy Sunday, with the after church Raising Canes of course.

I've been trying to introduce a more feminine aspect to my wardrobe. After a year of punk and hippie vibes, pink hair, blue hair, and black hair, I have finally landed my style that reflects "Whimsy Madi" best. Of course it will probably be different again come next week- but this is what I'm loving right now.

These little Connies I found at a thrift for $7, along with the velvet maxi skirt for $4. God bless America for having thrift stores. Hat is from Urban on sale for $9.99. Locket I got from a garage sale for 20 cents a few years ago. It's now a dainty, girly staple in my wardrobe. And the T/cross necklace I bought for cheap from my roommate (aka, the NCU Clothing Market- an online fb group for all the ladies at my university to sell and buy their old clothes. It's amazing.)

You should check out my little instashop- @shop.madisonemily. I am continuously posting clothing items that I don't want, don't need, or don't wear anymore!
